"Capitalism was made possible by civilization. Civilization was made possible by technology use."
I think capitalism and civilization have a common root: the ability to store food for more than one turn of the seasons.
There is evidence that the advent of grain agriculture enabled both capitalism and civilization.
Prior to grain agriculture, human tribes were egalitarian, with little social stratification. It simply was not possible to accumulate wealth when food could not be preserved for very long.
Grain agriculture directly enabled civilization, by providing a store of wealth. This wealth store allowed more job descriptions than simply "hunter-gatherer", and allowed cities to develop.
Granary receipts were arguably the first form of money. They were not only used for withdrawing one's saved grain from the "bank", but were also used in trade among those who also owed their specialized occupations to the ability to store wealth via grain agriculture.
The ability to store food also provided the ability to withhold it from others. This extended the "power over" relationship from one of simple personal physical strength to how much food you could hoard and withhold from others, vastly increasing the reach of "power over" relationships.

You have to lock up the food." — Daniel Quinn, The Teachings That Came Before & After Ishmael p181, excerpted from My Ishmael, A Sequel, date: 1997-01-01, link: https://archive.org/details/isbn_9781502356154/page/181

Yes, which is precisely why I said that the way I did. One can easily say that technology use is what created BOTH civilization AND capitalism.
